Our vision is to educate and engage ambitious future policy makers with interest in international security, stability & peace. By strengthening and encouraging youth voices in Danish society, with respect to democratic norms and values.
Our mission is to create a unique platform based on active participation that will provide young people network building experiences with policy makers, form an opportunity for professional inspiration as well as give a young people an opportunity to gain professional inspiration with strategic solution-based thinking in a constantly changing security environment.
YATA Denmark was founded in 1986. Our parent organization, with whom we have close cooperation, is the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), established in 1954. Since its founding, ATA has developed 37 chapters internationally.
YATA Denmark is operated by a group of young volunteers who organize and develop academic and social activities. We work to create strong professional and personal networks nationally and internationally by constantly engaging in dialogue with Danish and international politicians, researchers and civil society groups.
YATA Denmark is a nonpartisan youth organization whose goal is to spread knowledge and generate debate about current security, defense and foreign policy issues.
Working as a volunteer with YATA also means being part of a greater community of professionals with a common passion for international security and stability. YATA Alumni help our previous volunteers stay connected and build stronger relations through exclusive annual events.
